We have an excellent opportunity for a Business Development Manager that specializes in the design and manufacture of packaging solutions.
In this role, you will manage existing customers for the North East sites but primarily focus on new business sales in line with plant capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Deliver new business sales in line with site capabilities, 70% new business, 30% existing business.
2. Manage existing customers allocated for the territory.
3. Maintain a sales pipeline updated regularly to share with teams.
4. Provide a monthly sales report detailing points of customer activity and new business opportunities.
5. Attend 1-to-1 meetings, fulfilling agreed objectives set for the forthcoming period.
6. Plan and oversee new marketing initiatives and explore new markets.
7. Cross sell to existing and new customers for all business sites.
8. Attend conferences, meetings, and industry events as required.
9. Fulfill any required administrative tasks in a proper manner, including involvement with any Sales Dashboard or CRM systems.
10. Any other activity associated with the customers and sales within your designated area within the business.
Qualifications/Skills/Experience
1. Experience in packaging sales is essential.
2. Proven track record of B2B New Business selling.
3. Excellent technical and analytical skills with industry and competitor awareness.
4. Effective communication and presentation skills to work closely with management and technical staff.
5. Ability to effectively negotiate with clients and position them as a differentiated packaging provider.
6. Strong communication skills and IT fluency.
7. Ambitious, proactive, motivated, and driven.
8. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
9. Full clean driving license.
