Responsibilities:
1. Essential background of working with RDBMS PostgreSQL, Oracle for application development, dB placement design, tuning, DDL promotion, and upgrades.
2. Ideally, SQL Server in addition to one of the above.
3. Designs, constructs, and oversees complex databases.
4. Develop database solutions, analyze structural requirements, and experience in designing conceptual and logical data models.
5. Essential self-motivated and willingness to pick up new DB challenges.
6. Ideally demonstrable exposure to NoSQL technology (Couchbase, Cassandra).
7. Graduate/Postgraduate qualifications and ideally worked in a financial company or fintech.
8. Ideally used to working in Agile (Jira, Rally, Kanban, Confluence) experience.
9. Good English communication skills.
10. DevOps skills (GIT, Liquibase), Cloud exposure (Ansible, Terraform) a bonus.
11. Ability to think outside the box and not depend on runbooks.
12. May be required to work outside normal working hours if needed.
