Senior Support Workers Ofsted regulated homes in Wolverhampton and Bilston WV10 WV14
We require Residential Senior Support Workers and Team Leaders for our Children's homes in Wolverhampton and Bilston. Our primary aim is to create a warm, nurturing environment that supports the safety, growth and development of the children in our care. Senior Support Worker Salary
* The Senior in WV10 Base salary is £25,300 - £26,800 plus a Sleep in after every shift which equates to an extra £7,200. Rota is 1 on 2 off.
* Team Leader in WV14 £26,000 - £28,500 with sleep ins which are £4,320 extra. Rota is 2 on 4 off.
* (Sleeps £50)
Senior Support Worker Responsibilities
* You will be responsible for ensuring that the physical, intellectual, emotional, psychological and social needs of our children are met consistently to a high standard.
* Engage in probation, induction, supervision, staff meetings, learning and development and appraisal. Model professional conduct in all aspects of the role.
* Work in partnership with social workers, education, police, health, probation, and all other professionals in line with children's needs and interests.
* The Senior Support Worker will work on a shift pattern including days, evenings, waking nights (when/if required), weekends, bank holidays, sleeping-in duties and, subject to risk assessment, lone working.
Senior Support Worker Skills and Qualifications
* Must be willing and able to achieve or hold the NVQ Level 4 Diploma for Residential Childcare or an equivalent.
* Knowledge and skills: Senior Support Worker must hold a minimum level 3 Qualification.
* Worked in a Childcare setting (2 years minimum for Senior Support Worker).
* Full Knowledge of Ofsted regulations and 9 standards.
* Working within Child Protection procedures & Safeguarding children procedures.
* Understand the impact of trauma on child development.
* Direct work skills, including handling conflict effectively.
* Managing stress in self and others.
* Good written and verbal communication and IT literacy.
* Committed to achieving the best outcomes for children.
* Adaptive and solution-focused.
* Parenting in a diverse community.
* Able and willing to provide cover at other homes within reasonable distance as the needs of the children and the service requires.
* Able to work required shift pattern including sleeping-in.
