Job Summary: We are seeking a Teaching Mentor to support teachers and students in a positive, inclusive, and engaging secondary school environment. Key Responsibilities: Assist teachers with lesson preparation and delivery. Support students individually or in small groups, especially those with additional needs (SEN/EAL). Prepare learning materials and maintain an organized classroom. Promote positive behaviour and support classroom management. Help with record-keeping and administrative tasks. Supervise students during breaks, lunch, or school trips. Person Specification: Essential: Passion for education and working with young people. Good literacy and numeracy skills (GCSEs or equivalent). Strong communication and teamwork skills. Patience, resilience, and a positive attitude. Commitment to safeguarding children. Desirable: Experience in schools or with young people. Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant certificate). Experience with SEN or EAL students. Basic IT skills.
