Warehouse Manager/Senior Supervisor
* Based just outside Bishops Stortford
* Your own transport is required as this is a rural location
* Monday to Friday, 7.30 am to 4.30 pm, with hours increasing/decreasing with seasonal demand (40 hours per week on average)
* around £30,000 per annum, depending upon experience
I am working with my client to find an experienced and reliable Warehouse Operative/Supervisor, ready to take the step up to Manager.
The current Manager is retiring, and we are looking for someone to take over, to enhance the team and contribute to the provision of an excellent service to their customers. You will work alongside the existing Manager to learn the ropes and then take over in a few months.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone to bring their experience and skills to the business to help make improvements and efficiencies.
On a day to day basis you will:
* Manage the warehouse and stores, including supervision of Assistant Manager
* Hands on with goods in and goods out
* 60% of the role will be general warehouse duties
* Liaise with the buying team on incoming deliveries
* Liaise with the orders team on new customer orders placed
* Ensure the orders can be fulfilled and pack the goods needed
* Manage the routes of the drivers to deliver those orders
* Update the warehouse management system accordingly
* Lead continuous improvements in order to increase efficiency
* Work at cost control and reduction where possible
We are looking for someone with:
* Warehouse experience
* Knowledge of order fulfilment processes
* Experience of warehouse management systems
* A forklift licence (not essential as training will be given)
* Excellent organisational skills, able to multi task and prioritise at busy times
* Leadership skills
You will receive:
Salary of circa £30,000 per annum, depending on experience
