Experts in high voltage (HV) engineering, specialising in the design, installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance of private networks from 11kV up to 132kV, the company enjoys an excellent reputation in the industry. Thanks to securing a number of new projects, they require an O&M Technician who will be responsible for the inspection and maintenance of LV and HV equipment. Further duties will include the installation and termination of LV and HV assets. These may be for wind farms (both onshore and offshore), battery storage, solar or AD plants. The role requires someone who is happy to travel as sites cover Yorkshire, North West and North East England and Southern Scotland. Responsibilities: Inspection and maintenance of HV substation equipment LV/HV jointing, including cable terminations Fault finding and troubleshooting of LV/HV equipment Transformer and switchgear installation Earthing tests Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with company policies, industry legislation and health & safety practices Working with other engineering professionals, making sure works are carried out to the highest standards Experience and Qualifications: Previous experience in the installation, operation and maintenance of HV power distribution equipment Qualification in Electrical Engineering First Aid Manual Handling Driving licence HV authorised (desirable) - as a jointer or fitter, 11kV / 33kV, DNO or private networks CSCS / ECS card (desirable) City and Guilds in Inspection and Testing (desirable) MEWP and PASMA (desirable) Package includes van, fuel card, bonus, sick pay, private medical insurance, 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), laptop and mobile.
