Job Title: Outreach Tutor

Are you an experienced Tutor looking for a rewarding role supporting a young person with SEND needs?
The School and Role
A Local Council SEND Team is looking for an Outreach Tutor who can teach a variety of subjects to students with complex SEND needs, including physical needs, who are unable to attend education. The Outreach Tutor role is based across Kent and is on a long-term basis to provide consistency for the students. Sessions will be 3 hours per day, Monday to Friday, totaling a minimum of 15 hours per week.
Tuition sessions can be requested by local authorities, mainstream schools, or alternative provisions, with sessions usually taking place off-site in community venues such as:
1. Libraries
2. Residential homes
3. Schools
4. Home of student
The successful Outreach Tutor will be someone who is positive, flexible, and able to plan engaging sessions in order to work towards desired outcomes.
Requirements
To be considered for the role of Tutor, you will need:
1. QTS/QTLS / EAL qualification
2. Experience of working with primary or secondary school-aged children
3. Experience of working with SEND students
4. To be compassionate, caring, and understanding
