Priory Adult Care is the UK’s leading independent provider of specialist adult care services. Our aim is to provide the right support in the right home for all the individuals we accommodate.
With community-based residential care settings, as well as a network of supported living services, we support adults over the age of 18 with autism, dementia, learning disabilities, mental health conditions, Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS) and behaviours that challenge. We also offer a range of residential and nursing care settings for older people with varying levels of need.
Job Advert Role Description
We are currently looking to grow our already established and dedicated team of support workers at our site near Preston.
Our bank position gives you the flexibility to work with us to fulfil shifts without following a set rota each week! We typically have 4 differing shift times that are available to pick up on an adhoc basis.
The Spinney provides specialist support for adult with Autism and Learning disabilities. Our residents may at times present with moderate challenging behaviours.
The service offers 24 hrs support and staff will be expected to provide the support needed to enable the people who use the service to reach their goals and to develop their self esteem and the skills they need to live as independently as possible. We recognise the importance of choice, but also how hard this can be for someone with autism and Asperger’s syndrome, so we seek to support people to understand what it is to make a choice and the consequences that follow.

Whilst drivers are able to take residents out and about, you don’t need to be a driver to work here – we employ many non-drivers too!
