We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Instructor/Class Teacher to join a secondary school in Colchester. This full-time, temporary-to-permanent role offers an exciting opportunity to inspire students and support their academic progress within a structured and inclusive learning environment.
As an Instructor/Class Teacher, you will deliver engaging and effective lessons, ensuring that all students receive the guidance and encouragement they need to achieve their full potential. Whether you have QTS, QTLS, or relevant teaching experience, this role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your career in education.
This position is ideal for an enthusiastic and motivated individual looking to support students in their learning journey. While prior experience is desirable but not essential, full training and professional development will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging and interactive lessons suited to students’ needs.
* Support students in developing their confidence, skills, and academic progress.
* Manage classroom behaviour effectively, fostering a positive learning environment.
* Adapt teaching approaches to cater for diverse learning needs and abilities.
* Work closely with colleagues, support staff, and external professionals to enhance student learning.
* Assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and individualised support.
* Uphold safeguarding policies and ensure the welfare of all students.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS, or relevant teaching experience.
* Experience working in a secondary school setting is desirable but not essential.
* Strong communication and classroom management skills.
* The ability to motivate and engage students effectively.
* A proactive and adaptable approach to teaching and learning.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
