The role contributes to the success of Liebherr-Great Britain Ltd by carrying out effective maintenance and repair work on equipment at customer premises or on site, ensuring both quality standards and timelines for repair are optimized at all times, leading to increased customer confidence and repeat business whilst working within the Company’s key result areas: Business Performance, Customer Focus, People and Teamwork, Leadership.
Your Responsibilities:
* Carry out servicing, inspection, and repair of earthmoving machinery and equipment at customer premises, on site, or at the appropriate depot if required.
* Diagnose specific fault issues and take appropriate action.
* Return all warranty and other return parts cleaned and on time, ensuring correct processes for packing and labeling.
* Ensure all service information is read, understood, and filed.
* Develop an effective working relationship with the support team at the depot and support others where required.
* Maintain a healthy and safe working environment for self and others through a clear understanding of workplace safety requirements and systems.
* Support the roles of others, ensuring administration and paperwork is completed effectively and on time as required.
* Coordinate with the customer to ensure that their needs are understood and adopt a flexible approach to meeting those needs.
* Work with the customer in mind, ensuring that quality work standards are maintained consistently and that the repair site is left clean and satisfactory post-work.
Your Profile:
To be successful in the role of Field Service Engineer, you will need:
* Satisfactory completion of a recognized apprenticeship in a related industry to NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
* GCSE passes grades A-C in Mathematics and English or equivalent.
* Demonstrable previous experience in a similar role and/or industry.
* Good communication skills at all levels.
* A flexible approach to work.
* Ability to use own initiative.
* Computer literate and able to demonstrate uses of IT relevant to the role.
* Willingness to travel within the UK, Ireland, and overseas as required to support business needs.
