As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will report to our Business Intelligence Manager (based in Italy), and will improve the quality, automation and accessibility of visualisation reporting for all departments across the organisation. This role is based out of our offices in Hemel Hempstead. What you will do:
* Drive the standardisation and automation of reporting in Power BI and Excel for all departments (Sales teams, Senior Management, Back Office...) to deliver commercially focused analysis and support key strategic decision making.
* Ensure production of accurate and reliable data on time, providing clear analysis and interpretation of relevant research and analysis.
* Work with a wide variety of sources including Research market data and competitor data, sell-in/ sell out, Business planning, sales team pipeline and KPI, InstallBase and machine data.
* Support the centralisation and creation of a data warehouse.
* Use structured project management techniques to gather and drive requirements from technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Turn hypotheses which can be tested against using data and analysis, ensuring reports are intuitive for business users and can adapt to changing needs.
* Support management of centrally run projects and produce detailed scenario analysis packs for submission to senior stakeholders. Produce models with built in variables enabling review of alternate scenarios and the future impact of potential changes.
* Ensure maintenance of functional and technical documentation.
* Support Desk research and CRM Data cleansing activities.
Educated to degree or equivalent level with a data management and analysis speciality.
* Strong data management experience, developing complex report.
* Experience working with large data sets and using SQL with excellent data manipulation, analysis, verification, visualisation, and data storytelling skills.
* Experience developing regular and ad hoc reports.
* Excel Advanced level is expected.
* Power BI and DAX knowledge, required.
* Familiarity with SQL queries, and stored procedures are a requirement for the role.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Ability to work creatively and collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - able to identify the problem and related issues and using best practice to propose solutions.
* Strong organisation skills to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
