Overview of the role The role of the Cook is to prepare and serve healthy balances meals to residents in our homes. You will oversee weekly budgets and shopping lists. On occasion you will work alongside other staff or residents in the kitchen making sure everyone’s safety is paramount. Boxgrove House is a large, detached home supporting up to 11 residents of varying ages with moderate to severe learning disabilities, autism, sensory impairments and associated complex needs. Set in its own substantial grounds in Tilehurst, on the outskirts of Reading, the home overlooks Pangbourne Downs and is within easy walking distance of local shops and pubs.
