1. The overarching purpose of the role is to work with pupils who have SEMH learning needs and barriers to learning.
2. The ideal Teaching Assistant Level 3 will be prepared to ‘go the extra mile’ to support very special young people.
3. You will be required to prepare and adapt materials suitable for pupils who are disengaged from education to use in class, alongside facilitating small group and 1:1 sessions for students in their specialised curricula.
About the school
The role will be working within a specialist school within Lancaster, becoming part of their school community supporting young people with barriers to learning.
As an Teaching Assistant Level 3, you would be required to meet the holistic needs of the pupils under the direction of the class teacher and senior support staff.
There are opportunities for the role to become a permanent position after a qualifying period is worked.
Requirements
To be considered for the role of Teaching Assistant Level 3 you will:
4. Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
5. Desirable to have prior experience working as a TA within schools.
6. Be able to motivate and support pupil(s) to remain on task and complete work in a focused way.
7. Have an enthusiasm for supporting pupils with SEMH learning needs.
8. You will be committed to personal learning and development.

Salary
£450 to £525 per week
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
