Overview We are seeking a passionate and skilled experienced Dog Groomer to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional grooming services. As a Dog Groomer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of pets while delivering outstanding customer service to pet owners. Responsibilities Provide grooming services for various breeds of dogs, including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling fur. Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin, identifying any potential health issues that may require veterinary attention. Maintain a clean and safe grooming environment, adhering to hygiene standards and protocols. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' grooming needs and provide recommendations for care. Handle pets with care and compassion, ensuring their comfort throughout the grooming process. Assist in lifting larger or heavier animals as needed during grooming sessions. Stay updated on grooming trends and techniques to provide the best service possible. Experience You must have three year or more experience in dog grooming within a salon or home based grooming. You must be level 3 qualified or be able to demonstrate several years of dog grooming experience to breed standard You are required to conduct a dog groom as part of your interview process and you should have a portfolio of grooms to show during your interview process Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with pet owners. Knowledge of basic veterinary care is advantageous but not mandatory. Good communication skills and listening skills Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling larger breeds or multiple pets.
