Description Property Associate(s) / Senior Associate(s) (Development & Investment) – 1-8 years PQE Location: Birmingham, Leeds, London and Manchester Contract Type: Permanent We are seeking to recruit E&W qualified property lawyers with 1-8 years’ PQE as part of the growth of our leading Property Development and Investment practice. The position calls for team players with ambition and strong transactional property experience ideally gained at a large commercial practice. We are looking for candidates who are keen to undertake a broad range of Real Estate work across a variety of sectors, people with a desire to work with some of the UK’s largest developers and investors and those with an entrepreneurial spark who are self-motivated. We are seeking people who are problem solvers, good communicators, adaptable and those keen to develop and implement new technologies as our industry moves through significant change. About the Team - You will be in good company: Pinsent Masons has one of the largest property teams in the UK. We have over 400 specialist Real Estate lawyers throughout our National network. The size of our global Property Group is 322 fee earners. In the UK, we have 283 fee earners, inclusive of Partners. Our clients include regional, national and global organisations in the public and private sectors, including investors, developers (commercial, residential and mixed use), banks and central and local government. We operate as a national team rather than in regional silos creating exciting opportunities for our lawyers to regularly work on cross office teams and on some of the UK’s biggest real estate mandates. You would therefore be based in one of our Birmingham, Leeds or Manchester offices, but be part of our wider National Group. We advise clients across the whole spectrum of their transactional and general real estate requirements, covering all non-contentious property matters and work types. Unlike many of our competitors we remain dedicated to ensuring that our lawyers have a broad exposure to different work types helping our lawyers to develop a more rounded skill set ahead of any specialisation as you develop in your career and our business. A flavour of some of our work: Development (Commercial, Residential and Mixed Use) :- We work for both public and private sector developer clients on their commercial, residential and mixed use projects including build to rent. We work with clients such as Homes England, Lendlease, St Modwen, Apache Capital Partners Group, McCarthy & Stone plc, Henry Boot, Harworth Estates and Urban & Civic. We deliver exciting schemes such as the Lendlease Silvertown JV development, a £3.5bn project in London Docklands and the Langarth Garden Village scheme with Cornwall Council delivering c.3550 homes. Investment :- We support large national and regional investor clients such as Aviva, IM Properties PLC, CBRE Global Investors, Legal and General and various pension funds working with them on their acquisition and disposal strategies as well as supporting their asset management and financing work and everything in between. We undertake forward funding and forward commits. We act across a range of sectors including logistics, offices and retail as well as various alternate assets, such as healthcare (including later living and retirement villages).We regularly advise on some of the biggest deals in the market.
