Role Summary –
To ensure a continuous supply of materials and stock so that production should not suffer at the time of customer’s demand. To keep material cost under control as they contribute to reducing the cost of production and to eliminate duplication in ordering stocks. Putting stock controls in place over 4 sites to ensure stock is managed in line with production build, investigating any anomalies or stock loss.
Key areas of responsibility –
* Health & safety is at the heart of everything we do, ensure the team follow all site rules and any policies & procedures.
* Client facing.
* Build strong working relationships with all key stakeholders to ensure first class operational delivery in all operational areas, with a focus on stock integrity and accuracy.
* Develop with operational teams best practice and standardisation of all control processes.
* Lead on development of systems to support items inclusive of user experience.
* Manage and direct work executing activities including but not limited to – Cycle Counts, investigations, Reports in-line with customer requirements.
* Deal with complaints quickly and address internal and external stakeholder needs promptly.
* Drive innovation and recommend customer improvement plans that will enable advocacy of stock management principles.
* Deliver a culture of efficiency and continuous improvement by utilising the most appropriate methodology on a consistent basis.
* Enable audit governance to ensure adherence to regulatory body standards and customer standards.
* Ability to create detailed analysis that identify route cause and resolution through Root Cause and Corrective Action principles.
* Will be required to facilitate, coach and motivate cross function teams to achieve stock management objectives.
* Build a useful network of external contacts to support alignment with cross industry standards to drive best practice.
* Communicate and liaise with other departments to ensure a smooth & effective customer experience.
* Must be able to demonstrate a pro-active and positive approach in supporting operations.
* Complete RCAs/8d’s to establish reasons for discrepancies and suggest mitigating or preventative measures.
* Monitor and ensure KPI’s are met in a timely and cost-effective manner.
* Prepare reports for leadership.
* work within and develop procedures and documentation in line with ISO 9001 / 14001 / 27001
* Review unplanned stock transactions and implement corrective measures
* Conduct process audits surrounding stock movements
* Raw material scrap process
* Carry out any reasonable request
Health & Safety – To support the site in creating an accident free workplace, reporting all hazards & near misses
Training - Ensuring that all training requirements for H&S and work skills are met in accordance with legislation. Making sure any training needs for each individual in the work team, is carried out to ensure that all staff members have the necessary skills and required certification to fulfil their daily role in the work place

Experience/Knowledge –
Hands on experience as a manager to perform business and store operations
Minimum stock manager experience 3 years
Manufacturing experience desirable
GCSE’s including Maths and English (or equivalent)
