Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of an ESNEFT specialist team working across the whole organisation. We are looking for an individual with an interest and experience of working within an Infection Prevention and Control role to come and join us. This post will provide you with a wide experience in both acute and community Infection Prevention and Control Nursing. Experience of managing staff, providing education and training, and evidence of improving quality would be advantageous. You must be professional in your approach and be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You will support in the provision of clinical expertise and professional advice and leadership as a specialist resource in Infection Prevention and Control. This includes teaching, supporting development, research, surveillance and audit across all staff groups within the Trust. Collaborative working with the local health economy relating to Infection Prevention Control is a key to the successes the Trust has developed in recent years. Main duties of the job o Act as an excellent role model to all clinical staff by promoting the highest standards of clinical practice, with reference to infection prevention and control practices. o Work with the infection prevention and control team to provide, develop, and promote a high quality of Infection Prevention and Control Service, promoting excellence throughout the Trust. o To prepare or assist the Lead IPC nurse(s) in the preparation and presentation of reports of infection prevention and control. o To prepare or assist with the production and promotion of infection prevention and control. Liaise with staff in clinical areas where surveillance and audit are being carried out.
