Role purpose...
As the Global Portfolio Marketing Manager for IoT Connectivity, your mission is to drive product success through strategic positioning, messaging, and external content that resonates with our target audiences. You will understand our customers' needs and pain points and translate those insights into compelling product stories that differentiate us from the competition, while constantly monitoring the market and adapting our approach to ensure continued success.
The materials you produce will enable our Global and Regional sales & marketing teams to clearly communicate the value of our products and services to customers of all sizes (SOHO to Global MNCs) across various global geographies and win in a competitive marketplace.
As a member of the Global Portfolio Marketing team, you will work closely with Marketing colleagues, Portfolio Product Management, Go-to-Market, Sales, Strategic Partnerships, Analyst Relations, and other stakeholder teams in Group and OpCo's (Operating Countries).
The successful candidate must be passionate about security, have prior experience in technical/product marketing, ideally in the IoT industry, and understand the needs and challenges faced by IoT buyers.
With us you will...
1. Develop and deliver the annual Portfolio Marketing Plan for our Global IoT Connectivity portfolios
2. Be the subject-matter-expert in understanding portfolio buyers and the Decision Making Unit (DMU), their challenges and drivers for product purchases
3. Identify our 'right to win' and 'right to play' through detailed knowledge of customers, competitors, and the industry
4. Establish our differentiated positioning, messaging & product naming for all products in the portfolio through cross-functional collaboration
5. Develop and manage the delivery of a programme of customer-facing content, product thought-leadership, and collateral that Sales & Marketing Teams need to tell our story and win/accelerate orders
6. Distribute Positioning/Messaging and Content Toolkits to Group & Local Sales & Marketing Teams, optimising usage and activation
7. Be the lead point-of-contact for allocated projects
8. Present to senior stakeholders and key Partners, when needed
9. Maintain an up-to-date activity calendar and reporting for all portfolio marketing activities
10. Manage all activities within agreed budgets and timescales
It would be nice if you have...
1. Expert working knowledge of technology product marketing
2. In-depth understanding of the global IoT Connectivity market, opportunities, key players, and future trends
3. An understanding of buying segments, audiences, their needs, and buying journeys
4. Experience in building marketing content aligned to buyer needs
5. Evidence of an ability to work across a highly matrixed business
6. Outcomes and results driven mindset
7. Proven ability to multitask and run cross-functional initiatives and projects
8. Ability to simplify complex information
9. Product Marketing experience
10. Degree/Marketing qualification desirable
11. Knowledge of IoT Connectivity technologies essential
12. Knowledge of Connected Solutions technologies desirable
13. Excellent written communication, presentation, and story-telling skills.
