Supporting the Restaurant Manager and Head Chef, it will be your responsibility to provide a consistently high level of guest care and smooth running of Blas Restaurant.
Role Responsibilities
• Supervise the daily operations in the food and beverage areas and anticipate guests’ needs, wherever possible, in order to deliver exceptional quality of service and, in turn, guest satisfaction and inspire your team to do the same.
• Oversee breakfast, lunch and dinner services at Twr y Felin Hotel on at least a weekly basis, to ensure that service levels are maintained.
• Have extensive wine and food matching knowledge, and continually ensure the team have a good command of all menus and wine lists to deliver recommendations to the guests.
• Be aware of daily bookings, acknowledge regular guests and build relationships with all guests.
• Be fully conversant and able to operate the Point of Sale (POS) system and reservation system.
• Monitor sales, standards of upselling along with cashing up and reconciling end of day reports. Carry out duty management shifts including being on call.
• Promote a helpful and professional image within the R&B department, ensuring full co-operation is given to colleagues in other departments.
• In the absence of the Restaurant Manager, conduct daily team briefings and monthly meetings.
• Support and maintain a good working relationship with the Kitchen Brigade and other departments within the hotel to deliver an exceptional experience for our guests.
• Be present during event operations including Weddings, Events, Christmas, New Year, Easter and other School and Bank Holidays as required.
• To undertake any other reasonable duties, as requested by a member of the management team.
What We Are Looking For
• Genuine passion for the hospitality industry and a desire to drive the company’s reputation forward.
• Previous experience as an Assistant Restaurant Manager or Supervisor within a high level Fine Dining establishment is preferable.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Superb attention to detail and driven by delivering exceptional standards.
• Strong leadership and motivational skills which are capable of developing and inspiring colleagues.
• Excellent personal presentation.
• The ability to work well under pressure and in a busy environment.
• Flexible attitude to working patterns over 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
