We’re looking for an experienced, highly motivated QA Analyst to help ensure the quality of the software products produced by our growing Technology team and organization.
As a QA Analyst within the Development team here at Watchfinder, you will analyze business requirements, define test scripts, execute test scripts, and monitor/manage bugs from testing of new projects and features across Watchfinder products.
We’re looking for an individual who puts quality first and sees the value in a good QA process. You will work closely with the QA Test Lead and the wider development team to understand project requirements to write and perform tests. A problem solver, with an eye for detail and the ability to think of scenarios that others might not. You will own the quality of the user journey from planning phase to the release to the live environment.
1. Translating application storyboards into functional test cases
2. Performing manual, exploratory & automated testing
3. Assist the Development, Engineering & Product teams within Squads in assessing and improving testability of the applications
4. Work with developers and support personnel to identify defects and raise bugs where appropriate
5. Monitor progress of projects and bug triage
6. Participate in feature planning sessions, release activities, development and project meetings
7. Understanding and maintaining software quality for features by defining test plans and approaches to ensure comprehensive testing
8. Work closely with the Product team to fully understand business requirements to ensure test plans are fit for purpose and fully scoped with timelines for completion
9. Ensure that all documentation such as written test plans and test scripts are completed
10. Stay abreast of the latest testing tools and automation platforms/techniques
11. Ensure delivery of high standards, documentation, and service levels
12. 3-5 years’ experience in software quality assurance manual & automated testing
13. Knowledge and experience with UI testing frameworks - TestCafe, Playwright, Selenium
14. Good team player and able to work independently
15. Proven experience in mentoring team members
16. Ability to establish strong, effective working relationships at all levels
17. Strong organization, accuracy, and attention to detail
18. Strong sense of urgency and dedicated work ethic
19. Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize under pressure
20. Knowledge of development and quality assurance best practices and methodologies
21. Effective written and verbal communication skills
22. Ability to think outside the box, including edge cases
23. Experience in testing ecommerce platforms
24. Knowledge of API automation testing frameworks, Node Fetch, Postman, etc.
25. Experience with load testing frameworks like k6, Locust, JMeter, etc.
26. Knowledge of Gherkin or Cucumber syntax
27. Exposure to TypeScript and/or basic SQL skills
28. Knowledge of SQL, CI/CD pipelines, Jira or Azure DevOps, and AWS or Azure platforms is desirable
29. ISTQB certification is a plus
