Role Purpose and Key Responsibilities:
Role Purpose
You will be responsible and accountable for the shop and the team in the absence of the Shop Manager, operating and running the Shop, and managing the Shop team effectively. The day-to-day responsibilities will include assisting the Shop Manager and team with the smooth running of the store, ensuring high standards are maintained while delivering excellent customer service. The role encompasses the duty of opening and closing the business, and in the absence of the Shop Manager, you will manage the operations of the shop.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support the Shop Manager with the day-to-day running of the shop and the shop team.
2. In the absence of the Shop Manager, lead from the front in managing the operation and running of the Shop and the Shop team, including:
1. Opening and closing the shop
2. Managing and guiding the Shop Team
3. Cash management procedures
4. Managing and utilizing the company Time and Attendance system while ensuring adherence from the Shop Team.
3. Lead by example and drive your team to maintain shop presentation standards.
4. Encourage colleagues to share ideas for improvements.
5. Focus on the Shop's results to identify opportunities and motivate your team to work to high standards.
6. Provide an outstanding customer experience.
7. Educate and guide your team to deliver excellent customer service.
8. Accept bets as per procedure, accurately processing customer bets through multiple channels, including betting terminals and in-shop transactions through the EPOS System.
9. Act as a Brand Ambassador, introducing customers to the multi-channel/digital journey.
10. Ensure the Shop adheres to all operational procedures, including cash management and security procedures.
11. Adhere to Social Responsibility duties.

Desirable Skills and Experience
1. 1 year Assistant Manager/Supervisor Retail experience.
2. Industry experience is welcomed but not essential, as full training will be provided.
