An opportunity has come available for a Assistant Telecoms Design Engineer to join a leading Railway Telecommunications Principal contractor on a permanent basis. This position is based out of York, but offering hybrid working. This position would be ideal for someone wanting to develop their design experience and skillset with a business offering a great career path and progression within there design team. Key Responsibilities: Reviewing and interpreting site photos. Develop drawings for telecom railway projects. Design review Amending CAD drawings. Escalate CAD-related issues to project design team. Review site surveys and records for input into drawings. Provide input into designers risk assessments and hazard logs. Compliance with CDM regulations. Working closely with the Telecoms design team. Requirements: Ability to work as part of a team. Experience in other CAD packages is desirable (AutoCAD, Microsoft Visio). Bentley MicroStation experience is essential. Microsoft 365 knowledge and experience is essential. An understanding of telecoms projects and design within a rail environment would be desirable, but not a must.
