The purpose of this role is to assure the quality of products throughout the product lifecycle with Safran Seats GB and compliant with all contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support the Supplier Assessment process through conducting audits and assessments as directed.
2. Ensure that Suppliers apply Safran requirements such as APQP by adapting and applying requirements and related tools (FMCE, risk assessments, etc.) as part of implementing Safran requirements.
3. Ensure that Products and Services comply with quality requirements by helping suppliers understand the requirements; ensuring that products and practices comply with regulations, customer requirements, and Safran standards. Promote a culture of prevention and anticipation.
4. Ensure proper management of non-compliance by ensuring that supplier system, product, and process anomalies are addressed, with the necessary assurances that corrective actions are effective.
5. Ensure Supplier improvement by implementing KPIs to measure Supplier quality performance in line with Safran rating system; support and promote excellence by implementing tools and methods recommended by Safran; promote our quality culture.
6. Ensure that the customer's voice is heard and understood by all suppliers.
7. Support customer inspection activities.
8. Assist as a team member in problem-solving activities for manufacturing product quality issues and measures (Using 8D Techniques).
9. Support the quality activities within the project timeline.
10. Drive continuous improvement by capitalizing on factual data and feedback and providing the necessary support for all company functions.
Job Requirements
1. Apprenticeship level or equivalent in an Engineering discipline.
2. Sound engineering/quality background, with experience of Quality inspection within a manufacturing/engineering industry.
3. Knowledge of management of HSE risks.
4. Ability to analyse quality performance and build standards of quality.
5. Ideally Internal Auditor AS9100 trained.
6. Ideally experience within the Aerospace industry.
