Your New Role
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Soft Services Bid Solutions Manager to join our Work Winning team, supporting the Complex Facilities Business Unit. This is a full-time, permanent role that offers remote working with regular travel with the main hubs being Birmingham and London.
The role of the Soft Services Bid Solutions Manager is to design and prepare operational solutions that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of TFM and bundled Hard and Soft FM bids being developed by Amey in the facilities management sector.
This position involves working closely with the Work Winning team to create integrated TFM solutions for both new and existing customers, ensuring their needs are understood, meeting technical specifications, and overseeing the overall development of the Soft Services solution.
Reporting to the Solutions Director, the manager will work with a team responsible for producing solutions. This team includes researchers, SMEs, and estimators who aim to expand the business into new and existing markets, assess current solutions, and improve service delivery through innovative approaches, efficient resource use, and leveraging customer insights.
The standard hours of work are based on 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday.
You will be responsible for:
* Leading the development of integrated Soft Services solutions across all TFM and bundled Hard and Soft FM bidding opportunities with Complex Facilities, identifying customer needs and meeting them with innovative solutions.
* Working closely and collaboratively with key stakeholders across the Amey Group including the Solution Director, Hard FM SMEs, and the commercial and estimating teams.
* Providing strategic guidance to the Work Winning strategy, leading on new ways of working, identifying areas for improvement and leading a team to be best in class in delivering exciting, compelling and competitive solutions for our customers.
* Developing and designing methodologies and systems to support effective work winning. This will include conducting regular reviews and evaluations and continually looking for improvements and enhancements to both the production of bids and the success of bids.
* Identifying and managing risk including identifying project constraints and devising alternatives to mitigate risks whilst leveraging opportunities at the same time within Soft Services.
* Focusing on innovation improving ways of working and designing new ways of working wherever possible.
* Flexing to meet the demand but also providing exciting and challenging options that take people out of their comfort zones to explore.
We want to hear from you if you have:
* Extensive experience within the FM industry, particularly around Soft FM.
* Extensive solutions experience ideally within a work winning environment.
* Qualified up to degree level would be desirable.
* Proven track record of delivering effective solutions operationally or through work winning.
* Excellent leadership skills.
* Collaborative and detail-oriented.
* Innovative thinker.
