Job Description
As a Service Engineer, you are responsible for organising, planning, and conducting service and preventative maintenance on bioenergy systems to ensure their proper maintenance. Your role includes supervising contractors during the plant's construction phase and participating in a 24/7 site/emergency support team. You also handle the adjustment, optimisation, and ongoing maintenance of systems, as well as providing failure services. Additionally, you are involved in organising, planning, and performing the commissioning and testing of bioenergy systems, encompassing both mechanical and electrical components. As a Service Engineer, you conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), including I/O checks, mechanical testing, and performance evaluations. You lead and document Site Acceptance Tests (SATs) and performance/availability tests, troubleshoot malfunctions in bioenergy systems, and inspect control systems, covering both hardware and software aspects.
Job requirements
The ideal candidate should:
* Have a background in Mechanical, Electrical or Process Engineering;
* Be familiar with aspects of an Anaerobic Digestion / Biogas Plant or a similar process/plant environment;
* Have a flexible approach to work and allow for overtime together with UK travel and staying away from home;
* Be organised with a can-do attitude;
* Maintain professionalism at all times;
* Have a cat B, clean driving license.
