You will manage a variety of tasks related to the Project Management of marine outfit projects from commercial handover, through to on–site delivery and project close down. You will work alongside the Delivery manager throughout the planning and delivery phase to ensure successful project completion on time and within budget.
Whilst the ideal candidate will come from a marine background, candidates from other industries will also be considered. Refit/outfit experience is key as well as coming from a trades background or working within a trades environment.
Principle Duties
* Understand the final scope of the project and take ownership for allocated tasks.
* Contribute to the on–going communication with the client professionally and consistently.
* Lead project meetings from start up to close down,
* Oversee a mufti skilled sub–contract team, working closely with the chargehand
* Control and monitor project performance according to the project specification, budget and timeline.
* Produce and provide regular project and financial reports to nominated stakeholders identifying any variances and how these are to be managed or mitigated.
* In collaboration with the Head of Projects, during project delivery review labour and resource levels on site, proactively recommending where adjustments are required.
* Ensure Health and Safety standards are adhered to for nominated sites including ensuring personnel are issued with and wear the appropriate Personal Protections Equipment.
* Produce high level and detailed project plans for pre–delivery and onsite delivery activities
* Produce commercial invoices for shipping of materials and complete logistical related tasks
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of Refit/Outfit environments encompassing all disciplines.
Use of Microsoft software such as excel, word and project.
Planning, time management and prioritisation skills
Effective communication skills and an ability to influence others in a variety of situations.
Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
Results and detail–orientated approach to work delivery and output.
Have a can–do attitude
Read and interpret blueprints and working drawings along with written scopes of work.

Must be available to join the first project in January, with subsequent projects following after.
Our client will arrange the required visa but you must be available to attend the American embassy.to complete the application when required
All travel and subsistence covered.
Hourly rate dependant on experience, to be discussed at application stage.
Willing to work 12 hour shifts
