On behalf of our client, AMS is currently recruiting UK wide for a number of Operations Support Managers to effectively assist in our Supplier stabilization by fostering strong relationships to enhance and improve Cost, Quality and Delivery to our customer.
These Operations Support Manager positions are available on initial 12-month contracts and will need to spend approximately 75% of their working time travelling both domestically and internationally.
Responsibilities
* Using a creative approach to establish sustainable, long-term supply chains, providing a competitive edge for our client, our customers, and suppliers.
* Working with specific suppliers or plants to define the support programme and provide transparency on resources and activities required to address performance issues.
* Leading the execution of the support programme and integrating across organisational boundaries to deliver it.
* Supporting engagements with the supply chain from the initial analytics, through the engagement to exit and handover back to the Supplier Management Team or Manufacturing Plant.
* Driving the identification, development, and implementation of robust supply chain processes and tools to prevent future risks of failure.
* Reporting to the Head of Operations Support, taking responsibility for driving performance with supply chain.

* Tenacity, drive, and flexibility are key attributes of all the leaders within the team along with an ability to build relationships and drive output.
* Strong team player, able to lead cross-functional teams and drive sustainable change to meet quality and delivery improvements across the Supply Chain.
* Effective problem solver, with knowledge and experience of using lean tools and techniques successfully to deliver improvements and create value.
* Experience of leading significant projects/activities across a range of improvement activities.
* Operational (manufacturing) experience.
* Planning & control knowledge/experience.
* Program management knowledge/experience.
* Engineering knowledge/experience.
* Knowledge of SAP.
* Able to work in challenging environments, with great engagement and influencing skills, to build trust and strong relationships at all levels.
