This is a full time position, 37.5hrs a week, over 4 days, Monday to Friday, with the chance to work occasional Saturdays if you want to.
We are a very family orientated unit, supporting each other as the need arises.
Our shifts are 7:30-18:00, 3 days a week with a short day of 7:30-15:30, but we are happy to discuss other shift options to fit around childcare.
We are able to offer a full and varied Ophthalmic Outpatient service. We have a variety of Nurse led clinics as well as offering Diagnostics and support to our Consultants, Fellows, and allied Professionals within the department.
We are now looking to grow that service, with additional Clinician clinics and potentially more Nurse led clinics.

Main duties of the job
1. Instinctively meet the needs of patients and their families, offering comfort and reassurance.
2. Run visual acuity and eye pressure checks.
3. Assist with Pre assessment, ECG's, Blood pressure checks.
4. Assist with Nurse led clinics when appropriate.

Job responsibilities
1. Run visual acuity and eye pressure checks.

4. Keep department tidy and well stocked.
5. Prepare notes for clinic.
Person Specification
* Secondary education to GCSE level including English and Maths.
* Previous experience in a Care or Hospital environment.
