A well-established charity has an opening for a Senior Finance Officer to join their finance team on a temporary basis with the view to become permanent. You will enjoy working in a small team with a hands-on environment. You will also enjoy freedom to work from mostly from home, only needing to come into the office 1-2 times per week. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Preparation and processing of invoices; Administration of payments; Chase-up late payments; Processing expense claims; Reconciliation of bank, creditors and debtors accounts (and where required, resolve account queries); Preparation of Quarterly VAT returns; Processing and maintenance of Purchase Orders; Accounts receivable and accounts payable; Management of payroll preparation and processing; Management of electronic filing system(s) and Sage 200 (including updates, troubleshooting, and training). Undertake monthly balance sheet control checks and reconciliations. Responsible for month end reconciliation and journals including accruals, prepayments and any other month end tasks. Assist with additional financial tasks including: Assisting with the FC with budget preparation and forecasting Assist with the Grant claims; Supporting the annual audit process to ensure all required information is available, support the production of the statutory accounts and support any associated activities; Assist with preparing detailed variance analysis with budgets and re forecasts. Skills & Experience AAT Qualified or ACCA Part qualified – Desirable Experience of working with Sage 200 Professional and Sage 50 Payroll. - Desirable Experience of working in a charity environment - Desirable Please apply without delay to be considered for this exciting opportunity.
