As an Independent Reviewing Officer for the Children and Families Service you will be
1. Acting for the children they review as a conscientious and responsible corporate parent would act
2. Monitoring the performance of Son an ongoing basis in relation to their response to children in care and ensure any issues are escalated appropriately
3. Quality assuring every plan following each review meeting and consider that all appropriate options have been considered to meet the child’s identified needs
4. IROs must focus on children’s needs being met but cannot be unaware of resource/ cost implications
5. Responsible for convening, chairing and producing the decisions and minutes of the review meeting within prescribed timescales and that quality standards are met.
You are required to:
6. Hold a Social Work England registration
7. Be eligible to work in the UK
8. Hold a full UK licence
9. Post-qualified experience
10. Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
