This role will encompass all project types, ensuring effective project management and financial oversight. Key Responsibilities of the Cost Manager: Provide commercial support across the Capital Expenditure programme for all project types and facias. Assist in creating feasibility estimates and provide commercial insights during the initial concept design phase. Support development appraisals for new store openings and refit programmes in the UK and EU. Produce global reports on monthly costs and cash flows. Maintain and enhance the commercial and contractual documentation suite. Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and the Cost Management team to update the cost model as project requirements change. Manage relationships and coordinate with external Quantity Surveyors (QS) across multiple projects. Negotiate and present project costs and proposals effectively to internal stakeholders. Oversee and control multi-million pound projects in a dynamic environment. Skills and Qualifications of the Cost Manager: A degree in Quantity Surveying. Demonstrated experience in a Quantity Surveyor role, ideally within the retail sector. An in-depth experience of projects exceeding £1m is preferred. Experience with refits and new store developments, particularly in the EU preferred. Strong negotiation and presentation skills. Proven ability to manage complex projects and collaborate effectively with diverse teams. Exceptional analytical and reporting skills.
