Salary: 40,000 GBP – 50,000 GBP

Hours: Full-Time – 36.50 - 4.5 days in office

Job Purpose:
Caterpillar’s Peterlee UK location is currently hiring an EHS Senior Associate. In this role you will be part of the Environmental, Health, Safety and Security (EHSS) Team. You will manage one student placement who will support the team on a rolling 12-month basis. The role will be focused on systems and assurance that support and enhance the Caterpillar facility’s EHSS performance and compliance.
Job duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
1. Support the development of short and long term EHSS strategies including governance of deliverables.
2. Management of the EHSS management systems to align to ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
3. Compile, review and submit corporate metrics.
4. Facilitate Senior Leadership engagement and assurance activity such as EHSS Management Reviews.
5. Collaborate with cross functional teams to embed EHSS considerations into operations and risk management strategies.
6. Plan and undertake assurance audits.
7. Management of corrective and preventative actions.
8. Management and governance of contracts such as Industrial Hygiene.
Essential Qualifications:
* NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent
Desirable Qualifications:
* Degree in an EHS related field.
* NEBOSH Environmental Management Certificate or equivalent
* Lead Investigator Training
* Lead Auditor Qualification
