Job summary An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, pro-active and enthusiastic Assistant Technical Officer to work in our busy and friendly Aseptic Unit within the Pharmacy Department You will work as part of a dedicated team involved in the preparation and dispensing of aseptic products. You will perform duties such as organising and supervising processes within the aseptic unit such as; specialist cleaning, transfer disinfection, stock control, physical and environmental monitoring as well as dispensing and preparing sterile products. You should be eager to learn, flexible, reliable, able to work accurately, follow detailed standard operating procedures and have good attention to detail. Hours of work will be discussed with weekdays operating between the hours of 7.30am and 5.20pm and a requirement to participate in the rota for the weekend and Bank Holiday service provision. Preparing documentation for aseptic processing Dispensing of oral medication and IV products. Performing stock management Performing environmental monitoring in the aseptic unit Dispensing TPN Undertake specialised cleaning of the aseptic unit.
