Overview:
As a Warehouse Team Leader you will support the Warehouse Supervisor to oversee and coordinate daily warehousing activities by implementing quality, productivity, production, and customer service standards.
Additionally, you will plan, participate, and lead in the activities and operations of the warehouse and be responsible for all team members.
Main Responsibilities:
* Support the Warehouse Supervisor in all required duties as needed.
* Cover for the Warehouse Supervisor as needed.
* Work closely with WH Inbound & Dispatch Coordinator to ensure that customer and outsource deliveries are efficient and cost-effective.
* Lead a team of 7 Warehouse Operatives and 4 Drivers over 2 sites, including setting tasks for the day, prioritizing workload, providing picklists and board info, assisting with training, planning, and housekeeping adopting 5 “S” principles.
* Ensure all Warehouse Safe Systems of Work and Standard Operating Procedures are continually adhered to ensure “Best Practice” is always adopted.
* Maintain full coordination with Warehouse Team Members and Transport Drivers to ensure absence does not affect the warehouse KPIs.
* Ensure a robust handover of duties between shifts to support the correct transition of responsibilities.
* Maintain Warehouse to Manufacturing SLA.
* Utilize the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to support correct system transactions throughout each process, including:
o Producing Outwork Paperwork ready for delivery to suppliers.
o Receipting of raw material, returned outwork, and other goods.
o Ordering and producing POs for warehouse commodities.
o Liaising with Manufacturing and Planning to ensure deliveries are made on time.
o Managing QA events through the system to support stakeholder requirements and needs.
o All stock movements, classifications, and queries, promoting resolution of any stock-related issues.
o Completion of Shipping Request after Goods Dispatch.
* Housekeeping, adopting a 5 “S” mentality, covering areas over both sites including Manufacturing Supply Areas, Goods Receipt/Dispatch Yards, Transport, Warehouse Areas, and MHE.
* Organize collections (outwork and customer returns) in conjunction with Production Planner and QA Department.
* MHE and Truck Fleet Management, including:
o Scheduling safety inspections/MOTs for truck fleet vehicles.
o Organizing delivery and collection of truck fleet vehicles.
o Tachometer upload for truck fleet vehicles.
o Reporting MHE breakdowns to suppliers and arranging timely repairs.
* Organizing and monitoring perpetual and annual stocktakes, actively and robustly resolving anomalies.
* Assisting with query resolution from all internal departments.
* Communicate, practice, and promote the values, ethics, and culture of Harrison Packaging.
* Any other duties that can reasonably be expected of the role.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
* Experience within a busy warehousing environment, preferably in a similar role with Team Leader responsibility.
* Knowledge of software packages and MS Office proficiency.
* Knowledge of inventory and supply chain management would be desirable.
* Forklift certification and/or ability to successfully complete forklift training and operate machinery safely according to company procedures.
* Ability to input, retrieve, and analyze data.
* Organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work well under pressure.
* Willingness to continually learn and improve.
* Excellent communication/interpersonal skills.
* Able to plan and prioritize workloads.

Pay: £13.50 per hour
