Job Title: Senior Tender Manager - Survey
Reporting To: Business Unit Director (MSC)
Location: Aberdeen, UK 3+ Days per week in the office.

Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for delivering high-impact proposals? As a Senior Tender Manager - Survey at Beam, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our commercial strategy. You will lead the development of proposals for our full range of services, ensuring they align with Beam’s commercial guidelines and strategic goals. This role is integral to Beam’s growth and market presence, influencing key business opportunities in offshore wind, renewables, and subsea survey projects.
In this role, you’ll manage the entire tendering process from end to end, balancing workload, supporting business development, and collaborating with executive leadership to define and achieve key performance targets. You’ll work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including subcontractors and partners, to deliver competitive, innovative, and compelling tenders that secure high-value contracts. Your ability to lead, challenge, and negotiate will be critical to success.

Objectives & Responsibilities
Your role will evolve as Beam grows, but in your first year, you will:
* First 30 Days: Gain a deep understanding of Beam’s tendering strategy, processes, and key service lines. Build relationships with the Marine Site Characterisation tender team, sales teams, and executive leadership.
* First 60 Days: Lead multiple tendering processes, ensuring timely and high-quality submissions. Identify process improvements to streamline proposal development.
* First 90 Days & Beyond: Develop and refine Beam’s tendering approach to enhance efficiency, win rates, and strategic alignment with market opportunities.
Your Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the full lifecycle of tender submissions for survey and marine site characterisation services.
* Develop competitive, high-quality proposals that align with Beam’s commercial and strategic goals.
* Coordinate and manage the workload of the MSC tender team to ensure deadlines are met.
* Work closely with business development and sales teams to identify new opportunities and market trends.
* Conduct in-depth analysis of client requirements, cost calculations, and risk assessments.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including subcontractors and strategic partners.
* Ensure all proposals comply with industry regulations, internal governance, and client specifications.
* Present proposals and commercial strategies to senior leadership for review and approval.

* Experience in tender management or a related role in the maritime, renewables, or offshore industry.
* Strong understanding of commercial risk and the ability to develop risk-mitigating strategies.
* Familiarity with marine geophysical solutions, including Site Characterisation, UXO MTL creation, and Cable Route surveys (preferred but not essential).
* Proven leadership experience, with a track record of developing and leading high-performing teams.
* Analytical mindset with strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
* Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
* Strong attention to detail, with a focus on quality and accuracy in tender deliverables.
* Knowledge of industry regulations and standards applicable to offshore survey services.
