An incredible opportunity has arisen for a Night Veterinary Nurse to join an award-winning, RCVS-accredited practice in the picturesque county of Somerset. Established in 1985, this dedicated Emergency Clinic provides out-of-hours services for veterinary practices across the Somerset region. Nestled close to the coast and the stunning Quantock Hills, the location offers both natural beauty and a welcoming community.
The practice sees a diverse range of small animal cases, including exotics and wildlife. They are passionate about fostering their team members' professional growth, encouraging and funding CPD and certificates. You'll be joining a fantastic team with a supportive network, regular social events, and a brilliant sense of humour.
This hospital handles a wide variety of cases, including traumas, toxin ingestions, blocked bladders, GDVs, C-sections, and more. Equipped with cutting-edge technology such as advanced x-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, and laparoscopy facilities, it provides an ideal environment for delivering high-quality care.
As a Night Veterinary Nurse, you'll work closely with a dedicated night vet to care for inpatients, assist with out-of-hours surgeries, and manage anaesthesia. Additional support comes from a twilight ACA focused on animal care and infection control, as well as a twilight RVN handling patient triage and appointments.
The Role:
• Part-time role - This is an average 31.5 hrs/week position with a rolling rota of 4 nights on, 7 nights off, 3 nights on, 7 nights off
• The shift is 19.00 hrs - 08.30 hrs
