Job Title: Children's Complex Care Assistant
Pay Rate: £11.60 - £15.00 per hour
Job Type: Part time - 20 hours
Shifts: 7:30 - 9:30am Monday to Friday & 15:30 - 5:30 Monday to Thursday
The Care Collection are a multi award-winning home care provider with a minimum of 1 hour care calls to individuals of all ages. We are looking for a warm, friendly, and passionate individual who cares about the wellbeing of young people.
We are currently looking for an experienced Children's Care Assistant to work with one client with complex medical needs for a minimum of 20 hours per week. Previous experience of working with children with complex medical needs is essential.
You will need to have a valid drivers licence, access to your own vehicle with business insurance and be able to travel around Huddersfield for this role.
Responsibilities of this role to include but not limited to:
· Caring for the child in their own home
· Observing and reporting any changes in the health of the client
· Administering medication
· Provide social stimulation and engagement
· Provide personal care and additional specific care requirements
· Support with transfers to and from school
Requirements:
· Committed, caring and compassionate with a clear desire to support others
· Previous experience working with children with complex needs is essential
· Full drivers’ licence and access to your own vehicle
. Experience in any of the following is desirable:
PEG feeding
Medication administration
Physiotherapy/postural management
Respiratory care
Seizure/epilepsy management
Moving and handling
