Joining them as Plant Fitter you will be based out of the workshop and responsible for servicing and maintaining a variety of heavy goods vehicles and plant equipment. A key focus for the role will be preparing heavy goods vehicles for MOT testing. There may be occasional travel to site if a machine breaks down.
Main responsibilities will include:
* Prepare HGV’s for MOT testing
* Routine maintenance and servicing of heavy plant machinery
* Repair, fault finding and diagnostics of heavy plant machinery.
Routine work will focus on the company fleet of HGV, maintaining them to a high standard, completing monthly checks and ensuring they are prepared for MOT testing. In addition, you will service a variety of plant equipment, ranging from excavators to dumper trucks.

To carry out this role they are seeking a experienced plant fitter or HGV mechanic able to demonstrate the following skills:
• Existing experience working as a plant fitter or heavy vehicle mechanic maintaining and servicing heavy equipment such as Lorries, trailers, excavators, tipper and dump trucks. (or similar military experience as a REME)
• Experience fault finding and repairing heavy vehicles and equipment using computer diagnostics
• Prior experience preparing HGV’s for MOT testing
• A professionally recognised qualification in Heavy vehicle / Plant Maintenance and repair (NVQ Level 2 or 3 or equivalent)
• A full UK driving license is essential and an HGV license would be beneficial.
