Job Description:
This role will involve working closely with the Medical Director and other members of the team to ensure high-quality patient care and continuous improvement within the organization. The Clinical Lead will be accountable for various responsibilities and will play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of clinical standards.
This position is remote though we’ll expect you to be able to join online meetings on a UK time zone. You’ll be employed as a contractor, working 4 hours a week. The monthly salary is £1,000.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead investigator for discrepancy cases logged on the incident reporting module:
* Take the lead in investigating and analysing discrepancy cases reported through the incident reporting module.
* Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and prevent recurrence of incidents.
* Ensure that all incidents are appropriately documented and reported according to organizational policies and procedures.
Review monthly internal peer review scores with feedback to the Medical Director:
* Collaborate with the Medical Director to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance the quality of radiology reporting.
Present cases for the Hexarad REALM:
* Contribute to the development of educational resources by writing a minimum of six cases per year for the Hexarad REALM.
* Ensure that the cases are relevant, informative, and promote learning among radiologists and other healthcare professionals.
Attend monthly governance review with the Medical Director:
* Participate in monthly governance reviews to discuss and evaluate clinical outcomes, performance metrics, and quality improvement initiatives.
* Collaborate with the medical director to identify areas of improvement, set goals, and implement strategies to enhance overall clinical quality.
Collaborative role development:
* Work closely with the Medical Director to continually review and refine the role's responsibilities and objectives.
* Engage in collaborative decision-making processes to adapt to evolving organizational needs and ensure ongoing professional development.
What we're looking for:
* Consultant Radiologist with a Licence to practice and be on the Specialist Register for Clinical Radiology
* Strong understanding of clinical governance and quality improvement principles.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
* Proven leadership abilities and experience in managing clinical workflows.
