This role is a fantastic opportunity for apprentices who are currently studying for NVQ Level 2/3. Apprentices should note that the salary would be Agenda for Change Annex 21 trainee rate (75% max of band) until they have completed their apprenticeship.
An exciting opportunity has become available to join the antenatal administration team, helping to deliver quality care and support to patients who are beginning their journey as expecting parents.
Based at the heart of Barnsley Hospital's Maternity services, you would be the first interaction for patients coming into the department.
Main duties of the job
As the first face a patient will see in the department, we are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic people person who can help guide patients when they first enter the department.
Duties include helping to book appointments, answer queries and phone calls, assisting the medical and midwifery staff, and helping to navigate patients around the department.
Working days will include direct booking of patients into appointments as they attend the department and also times working in the administration office completing other tasks such as clinic prep.
