About the role We have an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team of Mental Health Advisors who carry out 1:1 assessments, deliver projects, provide mental health expertise to senior faculty staff as well as delivering personal development groups. What we’re looking for You will hold a relevant professional qualification such as Registered Mental Health Nurse/Community Psychiatric Nurse/Social Advisor/Occupational Therapist and have substantial experience of providing mental health advice and assessment to vulnerable adults. You will hold Registration and professional standing with an appropriate professional body relevant to the area of mental health You will have: significant experience of providing mental health support services within a demanding environment such as HE/FE, NHS, Social Work or voluntary sector to clients with moderate to severe mental health difficulties. experience of crisis management and coping with stressful and sometimes life threatening situations. knowledge and competence in assessing psychological distress and risk with clients, including suicidal behaviour. This is a full-time position working 37 hours per week on a fixed-term basis until May 2026 due to business demand. We regret that there is no opportunity to work from home in this position.
