Admiral Insurance is seeking an innovative and seasoned Head of Product for Marketing Tech to lead our marketing technology transformation. This senior leadership role is essential in steering our marketing tech strategy and ensuring it aligns seamlessly with our overarching business objectives. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in marketing technology, product management, and team leadership.
Main Duties
* Working as Part of a Scaled Agile Delivery Setup: Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a scaled agile environment to deliver projects effectively and efficiently.
* Own the delivery of the overall martech roadmap working closely with the relevant delivery, architecture and business functions, and actively prioritise development to deliver maximum value.
* Aligning Technology Delivery to Strategy: Ensure that the delivery of technology solutions is aligned with the organization's strategic goals. Work closely with senior management to understand the strategic direction and ensure that the delivery roadmap supports these objectives.
* Create strategic plans and budgets to ensure delivery supports our growth ambitions.
* Manage a Change Backlog Based on Value: Prioritize and manage the change backlog to ensure that the highest value features and improvements are delivered to the business. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure the backlog is aligned with business objectives.
* Help escalate and manage any risks to delivery.
* Help develop future phases of delivery, focusing on shifting beyond capability implementation to value extraction.
* Strong communication and expectation management with relevant stakeholders.
* Develop and maintain an adequate level of understanding of Admiral’s tech and business architecture relevant to these systems and areas.
* Responsible for the recruitment, performance management, development and engagement of all staff within the product team.
Skills Required:
* Experience in leading, mentoring and motivating a high-performance team.
* Experience with existing product management and new product development from design to delivery.
* Strategic thinker, always looking to continuously innovate products to improve the customer experience, sales performance and department efficiency.
* Great digital and external market awareness for new product developments.
* Experience in designing and delivering a strategic approach to product development.
* Ability to develop and implement strategic plans that drive business growth and innovation.
* Demonstrable track record of both transformation programme/project delivery and tactical roadmap delivery.
* Excellent communication skills across all levels, internally and externally, able to build open relationships and gain consensus with all stakeholders.
* Commercially skilled, experience of building business cases and assessing and prioritising value across a range of initiatives.
* Knowledge and experience with product management concepts, prioritisation techniques and design methodology within agile delivery environment.
* Knowledge and experience in the use of tools such as: Jira, Confluence, Project Online and PowerBI preferable.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven decision-making approach.
* Strong understanding of marketing technologies, digital marketing platforms, and data analytics.
Location
This role is a hybrid working role with a requirement to attend our Cardiff office regularly (a minimum of 2-3 times per week).
