Job summary We have a new opportunity for a substantive 0.64 wte Band 8a Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist within our Adult Cardiothoracic Critical Care Unit. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and innovative Physiotherapist, with significant critical care experience at a senior level. The Cardiothoracic team provide specialist Physiotherapy input to a 21 bedded Critical Care Unit. The caseload can be complex and varied, including management of patients who are recovering from Cardiac and Thoracic surgeries, complex adult congenital, heart and lung transplantation (inclusive of ECMO/VAD support as indicated) We seek an enthusiastic, dynamic and innovative Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist who is able to provide expertise across the four pillars of advanced practice, and can support the Physiotherapy team to deliver best quality of care to this complex patient group. The postholder will be supported by an Operational Lead Physiotherapist, and will have peer support from Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist working across neighbouring Critical Care areas within the trust. The successful postholder will be supported by the Band 7's within the team in relation to day- to- day operational management, allowing the focus of this post to be enabling quality and service development.
