Deputy Manager - Residential- Dementia
Location: Evesham
Salary: £15.25
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent - 48 hours a week
Are you an experienced deputy manager with a passion for dementia and elderly care? We are looking for a dedicated Deputy Care Manager to join our team and support the home manager in the overall running of our residential home.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the management and supervision of care staff, ensuring high-quality care is provided at all times.
2. Support with recruitment, training, and development of staff.
3. Ensure compliance with all CQC regulations and company policies.
4. Lead by example, fostering a positive, inclusive, and compassionate working environment.
5. Assist with care planning, risk assessments, and safeguarding responsibilities.
6. Build strong relationships with residents, families, and external professionals.
7. Deputise for the Registered Manager when required.
8. Monitor medication administration practices to ensure safety and adherence to protocols.
9. Participate in on-call duties.
Requirements:
1. NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (Level 5 desirable or willingness to work towards it).
2. Previous experience in a senior care role, ideally within a residential care setting.
3. Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
4. A good understanding of CQC regulations and compliance.
5. A caring, empathetic, and professional approach to supporting residents and staff.
