Bench Joiner Location: Hinckley Salary: £33280 per annum Job Type: Permanent Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 08:00 am – 16:30 pm Overtime: Available and paid at time and a half Engineering 365 is recruiting on behalf of our client, a highly respected joinery company within their sector, for a Bench Hand Joiner to join their growing team in Hinckley. The ideal candidate will have experience working with wood, be comfortable using a variety of joinery tools, and be able to manage their own workload efficiently. Job Description: As a Bench Hand Joiner, you will be responsible for the preparation and assembly of wood products, using various tools and techniques to create high-quality joinery work. The role requires a high level of craftsmanship, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Key Responsibilities: Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wooden components using hand and power tools. Read and interpret technical drawings and plans to ensure accurate production of joinery items. Ensure all products are finished to the highest standards, meeting both company and client specifications. Work with a variety of materials, including softwood, hardwood, and MDF, to create bespoke furniture and joinery products. Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are stored correctly and safely. Collaborate with the production team to meet project deadlines and quality standards. Check and inspect completed work for defects and make necessary adjustments. Ensure all work adheres to health and safety regulations, including proper handling of tools and materials. Maintain and care for machinery and hand tools to ensure their safe operation and longevity. Keep accurate records of materials used and time spent on each project. Requirements: Proven experience as a Bench Hand Joiner, with a focus on precision and quality. Strong knowledge of joinery techniques and the ability to use both hand tools and power tools effectively. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans. Attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality, bespoke joinery products. Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the joinery industry. Ability to work to tight deadlines and maintain high standards under pressure. A proactive attitude and willingness to continuously improve skills and processes.
