Role: Trainee Water Sampler
Annual Salary: £23,180
Days Per Week: Monday to Friday (08:00 to 16:00) + Call out and Standby
Location: Swindon / Reading - M4 Corridor
Essential: UK Drivers license and being based in or between Swindon and Reading
Duration: Permanent
My client is a large utilities contractor that is looking for a Trainee Water Sampler to cover multiple water treatment sites, MOD Sites, Landfill sites, Construction sites and New Housing Developments. All of the work flow is attached to Welsh Water where you will be sampling the water treatment plants and discharge points (sampling upstream and downstream).
As this position offers full training with equipment and technical aspects of the role, no previous experience of water sampling is needed. However, it would be advantageous if you have had experience in water sampling, pH water testing, mobile lone working, or similar in any capacity.
You will spend a lot of time travelling between sites and must be comfortable driving daily to sites up to 3 hours away. Once you have been trained, you will be working independently where your daily plans and work flow will be delivered to you from a tablet/laptop.
Essential Criteria:
1. Full UK drivers license and ability to park a company van in your area.
2. Based in or between Swindon or Reading.
3. Ability to work outdoors.
4. Comfortable driving in a field-based capacity.
5. Ability to use a tablet/laptop.
6. Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
7. Must have lived in the UK for the past 5 years as obtaining security clearance is a requirement of this position.
On offer is a salary of £23,180.00 per annum based on a 37-hour week + PPE, company van, and training will be provided.
