Our Children & Families Service works in a highly challenging, yet highly rewarding environment to manage child-in-need and child protection cases as well as cases in legal proceedings and looked after children. About the Role
As a Team Manager within the Children and Families Service, you will embed a high-performance, collaborative culture by supporting your team to continually develop their skills to achieve the best possible outcomes for our children, young people, and their families. Through reflective supervision with your team, you'll champion their personal and professional growth. You will also provide oversight on all our children and young people, ensuring quality standards are maintained whilst championing restorative practice.
This role will allow for some remote working but will largely be office based with a minimum expectation that you are in the office three days a week, every week.

Mid/East Team – Phoenix House, Tiverton
North Team – Taw View, Barnstaple
South Team – Follaton House, Totnes
About You
You will have significant post qualifying experience and the expertise and approach to effectively support your team. Understanding of the legislation, models, and theories relevant to children’s social work is a key part of the role. You will enjoy working in a busy, fast paced environment, be passionate about relationship-based social work and proud of your profession. You will be able to reflect and think creatively about how you can support your social work teams to build relationships that make a difference to the children and families of Devon.
