Actual Salary: £10,706 per annum
Work Pattern: 2 days per week. Split shift: 7 am 11.30 am, 2.30 pm 5.30 pm.
Hours: 15 per week, full year contract
Holidays: 28.5 days plus bank holidays
Based: Coppice Primary Academy, Burlington Avenue, Oldham OL8 1AP

About this Role:
Coppice Primary Academy are seeking to recruit a Caretaker to work 2 days per work. The role will be a split shift, 7 am - 11.30 am and 2.30 pm - 5.30 pm. The contract will be temporary, ending 31/8/2026. They will work under the direction of our Site Manager and main duties will include locking and unlocking the premises, maintaining the security of the academy throughout the day and ensuring a clean, tidy, well maintained and safe environment at all times. They will be responsible for reporting defects, carrying out and recording regular site checks, liaising with and escorting contractors whilst on site.
The successful candidate will need to be a team player who can multi-task effectively, develop good working relationships with all the staff, be helpful and welcoming to parents, visitors and contractors whilst ensuring that the school expectations are met. Basic knowledge of ICT would be required, particularly use of emails and the internet. The ability to drive would be useful..
Coppice is part of Focus-Trust which was established in 2012 and now has 15 primary schools based in the North West of England and West Yorkshire. Coppice works closely with Roundthorn Primary Academy; the two schools share an Executive Principal, Business Manager and a number of other support staff.
