Job Title: R&D Engineer
A world leading manufacturer is seeking a R&D Engineer to join its team, in Hampshire, on a permanent basis. The primary function of this role will involve taking a role in the process element of the development of new products and materials.
The job holder will work on one or more projects managed by a project manager and will, at times, be responsible for the delivery of solutions on smaller projects. You will have experience with technical contribution to multi-functional projects. You will apply knowledge in your core discipline to industrial processes and product development, problem-solving, and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
1. The primary role is to assist with the development of new products, tooling, and metrology to enable the company to compete in different market segments and to improve product cost, delivery, and quality.
2. Generation of engineering studies.
3. To participate in the design, development, and verification of new products, making use of appropriate design software (either bespoke or third-party) and data analysis tools/models where required.
4. Ensure that new and existing metrology methods and Design Verification testing and reports comply to regulatory requirements.
5. To support the development of products and processes in manufacturing throughout their lifecycle at acceptable cost, volume, and quality performance levels through the production of new tooling designs.

Qualifications:
In order to be considered, candidates will be degree qualified in Maths, Physics, or Mechanical Engineering. You will need experience with CAD packages and have the ability to use Minitab. You will need a demonstrable track record in a similar role.
