The Regional Heads of Quality & Innovation (HQI) are the quality assurance business partners for Study Group. As HQI you will work within the Quality Assurance and Enhancement Office (QAE) to apply our quality assurance processes and policies which are designed to ensure that each of our students get a high-quality academic experience.
ABOUT THE ROLE
* Lead and support a group of delivery centres to embed Study Group’s quality assurance and enhancement processes, supporting the production of assurance information that will inform decisions made through local, and network level, academic governance.
* Be a source of key advice and guidance for delivery centres in all aspects of quality assurance to aid them in mitigating and managing the risks associated with not meeting Study Group’s expected quality assurance requirements.
* Provide assurance that appropriate policies and controls are in place, are applied consistently and comply with Study Group requirements, external regulation and relevant legislation.
* Where required, play a role in the operational aspects of delivery centre’s quality assurance processes and/or governance mechanisms to ensure that they are being delivered effectively as per Study Group requirements, external regulation and relevant legislation.
* Where needed, provide additional help and/or cover for QAE colleagues in support of delivery centres which may be outside of your key group.
* Oversee the group of delivery centres work with External Examiners in respect to recruitment, induction, relationship, communication and reporting.
* Take a role in design and delivery of delivery centres’ centre action plans to ensure aspects of quality assurance and academic standards are included as appropriate.
* Work to engender positive working relationships at a key group of delivery centres as well as with the wider Study Group network.
* Identify how best to ensure that delivery centres can effectively embed quality assurance procedures to enable organisational objectives to be met.
* Ensure that where areas of risk are identified and/or improvements need to be made these are communicated effectively and that mitigations are in place quickly.
ABOUT YOU
* Educated to at least degree level (or equivalent).
* Significant evidence of a commitment to continuous professional development.
* Significant experience of quality assurance or regulatory compliance within an educational organisation.
* Experience of managing, developing, inspiring colleagues and gaining buy-in from high-performing teams in an educational setting.
* Evidence of effecting cultural change and implementing new operating systems and procedures.
* Exceptional understanding of governance and decision-making processes and the management of committees.
